The common rice cookers are made of aluminum and teflon. these chemicals are known to cause some diseases if used regularly for a very long time. does anyone know where I could get a stainless steel one or does it even exist?
Do you know of any rice cooker that's made of stainless steel?

We consume a lot of rice in our home. and having little kids, I am thrilled when I discovered this Tayama 10 Cup Stainless Steel Rice Cooker from Amazon.com, with free shipping.
The insert of this rice cooker is made of inert stainless steel – no harmful aluminum. Did you know the recent Sigg bottle liner saga all came out from it’s liner (the previous version was said to contain BPA), and the reason for putting the liner in the first place was to protect from the aluminum, supposedly is harmful to our bodies? not to mention all the non-stick coating in most rice cooker, said to contain harmful fumes which heated.
The stainless steel rice cooker, at $90, are pricey but to me the health of our children is of utmost importance. There’s another model Stainless Steel Rice Cooker Model ME81, cheaper at $62 (but remember you have to pay shipping since it’s not direct from Amazon.com). But I trusted the Tayama Japanese brand better, and we’ve had the Tayama rice cooker for 2.5 years, and never had a problem, well until the fuse burnt yesterday (understandable with such heavy use..) – easily fixed by a trip to Fry’s.
