Making perfect rice every time is a snap with electronic or microwave rice cookers. Basic rice cookers consist of a metal bowl, often non-stick, nestled inside larger container that includes a heat source. just measure the correct amount of rice and water for your desired quantity of cooked rice, press the button and the rice will be ready in as soon as 20 minutes, and the machine will keep the rice warm for hours. more elaborate models allow users advanced programming to set finish time beforehand so a bowl of warm, fluffy rice awaits you after a long day at work.

Here are some rice cooker models, from cheap to steep, available online.

The cheapest Panasonic rice cooker is their SRG06FG 3.3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker. This machine is available for a very reasonable price. there are in fact machines made by other manufacturers such as Aroma and Black & Decker that are even cheaper. however if you buy a Panasonic SRG06FG you are getting a Japanese rice cooker rather than one from an American company. due to the fame of the Japanese electronics industry and the fact that people in Japan eat rice every day and therefore require the best appliances available, the best rice cookers come from that country.

This Panasonic rice cooker is admittedly a very simple model. It does not have the fancy electrical components nor the sleek design of many other Japanese machines. however it is a fraction of the price of units such as the Zojirushi NS-TGC10 or the Sanyo ECJ-PX50S. These are more appropriate choices for people who have more money to spend and demand a machine that can cook a range of different styles of rice. also, it is only really worth buying a more expensive rice cooker if you plan on using it regularly. if it ends up just sitting on your kitchen counter then it would be a waste of money to do get one.

What I like about the SRG06FG is that it can easily be used to make hot pot style dishes too. This is not so easily the case with a more expensive model. This is because the Panasonic cooker has a glass lid that you can just lift off to give your food a stir. also the fact that you can see into the cooker without having to take the lid off makes it an appropriate choice for anyone who wants a rice cooker to make more than just rice. As already mentioned, this is a basic rice steamer. It would be a good machine for a student. It is easy to make up your own hot pot recipes. just chuck in some things that you like, flick the switch to on and see what happens. there is nothing like a bit of experimentation in the kitchen. This kitchen appliance would be perfect for anyone living alone, couples and even small families. if you have more than five or six people to feed then the Panasonic SRG06FG would probably be a bit too small for your needs.

It is simple to operate. It has an on/off switch with an automatic shut off when the rice has finished cooking. Even though it does not have specific settings for different kinds of rice, this does not prevent you from using it to make whatever type of rice you want. It comes with a measuring scoop so you just add the amount you require. Then as with any rice cooker it is best to wash your rice before cooking. You do not have to but it makes for a better final product. Then add the appropriate amount of water. This is easy, you just add the water up to the line equaling the number of cups of rice you added. So two cups means you have to fill up the cooking bowl to the line marked two. Brown rice may require a bit more, just use your discretion.

Three tips to help your rice have a better texture and taste great are:

  1. Wash the rice in the cooking bowl before you start cooking – you can find out how to wash rice here.
  2. When you have cleaned your rice and added the water to the pan, let it sit for between 10 minutes and half an hour, then start cooking.
  3. After the machine switches itself off let it sit for a little while, 10-15 minutes or so, and then serve.

These tips will help you get the best out of this budget rice cooker.

Other rice cookers in this class include the Black & Decker RC3303 3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker and the Aroma ARC-733G 3-Cup Pot-Style Rice Cooker and Food Steamer. if you want something larger then it might be worth considering the Aroma ARC-838TC 8-Cup Digital Cool-Touch Rice Cooker and Food Steamer.

Panasonic rice cooker – Technology and Quality

Cooking rice can surprisingly complex. I'm half Japanese, not in Japan but grew up, and delicious restaurants my mom as a measure of quality control if the rice is needed.

normally, a person on a stove for cooking rice. You can do so in Japanese (the rice soak in water, let the pan cook until the water is gone, and let the rice still on fire bit 'to dry a bit' more) or moreWestern Art (sauce pan with onions and garlic rice for a bit 'of throwing boiling water for one to laugh, and finish as above).

But the Japanese have invented a complicated third. In fact, it automates the process manually. Wash the rice, add water and press the start button. Once the rice is done, your rice cooker will automatically switch to heating mode so that the rice is never undercooked or burnt. InsteadIt 's always hot.

I do not know if you are unaware, or Panasonic rice cookers have been getting rave reviews by satisfied customers. That's right: not only laptops and televisions definition digital cameras, home appliances but also high, as pots of rice. Actually, I live in Japan and my refrigerator is manufactured by Panasonic.

You can find these flocks in different formats. they are often in the measures that I like "small", "right" and "giant". my small Panasonic 3 Cup stove is good enough for individuals or couples, which is my case. I receive two guests, and if I could feed up to five people eat rice with a rice cooker with this very very small. And 'all the basic functions, as I described above, plus it also comes with a basket of vegetables steam cooking vegetables, fish and chicken.

the correct measure is a rice > Cooking with 5 or 5.5-Cup capacity. by the way, cups, these cups Japanese rice, not an America's Cup. You can get one of these cups with the stove. a family of 4-5 people herd is well served by this one. In addition, you will be able to cook other dishes, like a morning oatmeal (before the evening which will be programmed) or brown rice, sushi rice and so on.

the stove has a large capacity of 10 cupsRice>. that is enough rice for 20 people, if you wonder. I only recommend this measure for men, a conversation, and, especially, are much in use, a rice cooker. the operation is the same size stove, but a person should not spend money like everyone to know before actually If a computer or not. Days I eat rice and my family has all the ovens in the possession of the last twenty years, but all of usPreparation, there are rice, sushi rice and brown rice. Mom is my attempts to use) in boiling water for rice cooker (it's very fast, pasta and fried eggs, too. Everything works until have imagination and respect for boundaries products. But do not buy, for the largest oven available, just because, or a garage are at risk of leaving your dust.

I hope this article has given up little 'light on how best weTo cook the rice, as well as how to use a stove, rice cooker and other ways to help one of rice.

1283436761 Panasonic SR MS102 Fuzzy Logic 5 Cup Rice Cooker, White | Electric ...This rice cooker is fantastic. I bought and kept this (and returned the others) after trying this along with two other rice cookers - Zojirushi NP-HBC10 and Sanyo ECJ-HC55S. Please note that I had selected even the other two after much research and they, in their own place, are amongst the best rice cookers that you can buy.

This one cooks rice as well as or better than the others and much faster. I use this mainly to cook brown rice - the Sanyo took about 90 minutes for two cups of brown rice, the Zojirushi took about (or more than) 100 minutes and this one takes just 60 - 65 minutes.

This one has more functions than any other cooker (Rice cooker, steamer, slow cooker, warmer, porridge maker, cake maker, sushi and more).

This one looks the best by far and its Menu and LCD are better than the others. this has a fantastically stylish smooth body with a super cool Orange LCD with Black LEDs with no ghost digits (prominent and clear black digits on Orange with no shadows from the unused digits - looks very cool and sophisticated). the colour scheme and over all look is by far the most modern and stylish.

The Panasonic while being the fastest, best looking and most feature packed machine as compared to the Zojirushis and Sanyos is the one that costs the least !

The steamer tray supplied with this is better that the Sanyo's as it is deeper and does not sit on the bottom of the inner pan (mess from the tray legs dipping in the boiling water in the Sanyo) but sits on the top rim of the inner pan and hangs, with sufficient clearance from the boiling water - this is important because close proximity to the boiling water amounts to greater loss of vitamins from the vegetables being steamed. the Zojirushi does not have a steamer tray or dedicated steaming function for that matter.

While the Zojirushi makes rice as well as any other machine and it has the proclaimed GABA brown rice setting, it is exorbitantly priced and takes much longer to cook. the Sanyo is priced closer to this one but the Panasonic's design, looks (style, very good LCD and colour scheme and buttons), performance (cooking time and quality of the brown rice) pleased me much more than the Sanyo's. Panasonic's electronics is unparalleled - it is evident in the details like a much better LCD screen, best readability (and aesthetics) and this one remembers your last menu choice even after being powered off (unlike the others which reset to the 'White rice' option).

And, from researching on the net, I found that in general Panasonic rice cookers last much longer than any other brand.

So far I have only cooked brown rice in this and it came out fantastic every time. I am eager to try out the plethora of other options available on this rice cooker and go a bit further with my creativity which is made possible by the unmatched versatility of this wonderful piece of equipment.

One thing I would like to let prospective buyers know is that the inner lid on this one is aluminium (as is the Sanyo's). so, if avoiding aluminium cookware is high on your priority than this could be a concern. however, there is hardly any contact of the lid with the food and so it did not matter too much to me. the Zojirushi I bought was the top of the line amongst Zojirushis and was the only rice cooker I found which had a stainless steel (and not aluminium) inner lid.

Overall, this was a winner by far in terms of unbeatable value, top quality and dependability. it brings a smile on my face everyday due to its functionality and beauty. I highly recommend this rice cooker.
