'Biggest Loser' cookbook 'less intimidating for dieters'
KUSA - If you're a fan of NBC's hit show "The biggest Loser," you will want to know about the latest "Biggest Loser" diet book.
"Six weeks to a healthier you" is written by Cheryl Forberg, the nutritionist on the "Biggest Loser" ranch.
Forberg believes breaking it down into six weeks is a much less intimidating route for dieters.
"It's a little more comprehensive that way," Forberg said.
Forberg also found some people get discouraged when they don't see the same results as on the show. she doesn't want that to happen.
"Remember, their full-time job on the ranch is to lose weight," Forberg said. "They don't have the distractions of family and all of those other things; take small steps, don't be overwhelmed and add a little bit to the progress everyday."
That means making little changes at first; something as simple as eating brown rice instead of white rice.
"Eating whole grains instead of white flour, white sugar, white rice which are not on the plan. this helps to keep the blood sugar levels even and helps decrease the risk of diabetes," Forberg explained.
